PRME NA Chapter Biennial Meeting

Hosted by Loyola Marymount University
July 16–18, 2026 | Los Angeles, California

As part of The World Comes to LA, the College of Business Administration at Loyola Marymount University is honored to host the 8th PRME Chapter North America (PRME NA) Biennial Meeting on July 16-18, 2026, in Los Angeles, California.

This meeting provides a forum for PRME NA business school faculty, staff, students, and partners to share their innovative work advancing the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) and other aspects of Responsible Management Education (RME).

We invite contributions that explore innovation in research, pedagogy, and practice - approaches that help business schools cultivate leaders to create, innovate, and collaborate for the enduring betterment of the world and society. Submissions may include original empirical or conceptual research, scholarship of teaching and learning, curricular or co-curricular initiatives, and examples of institutional practice aligned with the PRME principles.

Theme: Innovation for Thriving Futures

What innovations in business and business education enable people, organizations, and communities to create enduring impact and flourishing in a rapidly changing world?

The 2026 meeting will feature:

  • Pre-conference Learning Journey (July 16) - The Convening: Tri-Sector Innovation - a gathering of educators, business leaders, diplomatic corps, NGOs, and key stakeholders to explore how we might better collaborate and develop shared strategies to care for our common home and create meaningful change and impact. The day will feature TED-style “firestarter” talks, interactive roundtable discussions, and collaborative ideation sessions designed to generate actionable insights and foster long-term partnerships. It will feature a graphic recorder to capture the learning journey through dialogue and discussion. Please note that separate registration is required for the Learning Journey.
  • Keynote sessions highlighting innovative academic, corporate, and consular leaders.
  • Plenary session with NewImpact’s Jens Molbak, showing what is new with Tri-Sector Innovation and its application for teaching and research. This session is co-sponsored by the University of New Hampshire, Ball State University, and Loyola Marymount University.
  • Panel of Leaders at Academic Journals
  • Deans/Associate Deans panels
  • Interactive pedagogical workshops
  • Collaborative research development opportunities
  • Chapter Interest Group (topical collaborations) breakout sessions and collaborations
  • Opportunities for creating cross-institutional, trans-national, and inter-disciplinary partnerships for future research development.

Poster Specifications

For participants who signed up for a poster presentation, the following contains all the details regarding your poster's specifications.

    • Participants may bring their own printed poster, provided it meets the same specifications outlined below.

    • Posters can be professionally printed by LMU Campus Graphics. We have selected the option that does not require mounting on foamboard to avoid a product with plastic as part of its substrate.
      • 36 x 48 inches, printed by Campus Graphics on paper. Cost: $77.00 (This price matches FedEx pricing and can be managed without delivery costs.)

Submission deadline for LMU to print for you: Monday, July 6. Please submit your poster as a PDF to ibes@lmu.edu.

    • Signatory affiliation (institution) should be clearly stated on the poster along with the names of presenters.

    • Content should align with one or more of the seven PRME principles and be stated somewhere on the poster. Optional: posters can also indicate impacted SDGs.

    • Poster should align with the conference theme: Innovation for Thriving Futures — What innovations in business and business education enable people, organizations, and communities to create enduring impact and flourishing in a rapidly changing world?

    • Legibility:
      • The title should be legible from at least 20 feet away.
      • Headings and text should be legible to someone standing 5–6 feet away.
      • Recommended minimum font size is 20pt.
      • Choose clean fonts that are easy to read.
      • Use graphics whenever possible to avoid overwhelming the poster with text blocks.
      • Use white space strategically and reduce visual clutter.

    • Submission format: Posters should be sized 36 x 48 inches and submitted as a PDF. We recommend using Canva or Adobe to ensure your design is the correct size.
      • Please note that sizing up an 8.5 x 11 design will result in a grainy printed poster.
      • Before submitting, check your PDF to ensure that graphics and pictures are sharp and not blurry.
  • Image copyright and licensing
When selecting images for your poster, please use images with a Creative Commons license. Good sources include Pixabay, Wikimedia Commons, and Google Images filtered by labeled-for-reuse (Images — Tools — Labeled for Reuse). You may also use your own photographs. All images should be cited directly on the poster using the following format: License type, Title, Author, Source URL, and any edits made. You can place citations directly below the image or in footnotes at the bottom of the poster.

    Image and graphic quality
Use vector graphics or high-resolution JPGs wherever possible. Avoid low-resolution GIFs or screenshots, which will appear blurry when printed at poster size. If you are unsure whether an image is high enough resolution, zoom in to 100% on your screen. If it looks blurry on screen, it will look worse in print.

    Background images
If using a background image, follow the dark-on-light or light-on-dark rule: use dark text on a light background, or light text on a dark background. If your background image makes text hard to read, consider reducing the image's opacity or placing a semi-transparent box behind your text.

    Technical tip for PowerPoint users
Set your slide dimensions to the exact poster size before you begin designing, not after. In PowerPoint, go to Design — Slide Size — Custom Slide Size and enter your dimensions. Set your zoom to 100% to preview how your poster will look at actual scale. Setting up a grid (View — Grids and Guidelines) and enabling snap-to-grid will help align elements cleanly. It is also helpful to print one section of your poster at full size before your final submission to check legibility and image quality in person.
