Beta Gamma Sigma

Founded in 1913, Beta Gamma Sigma is the international business honor society for business schools accredited by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Membership in Beta Gamma Sigma is limited to the top 10% of undergraduate students and the top 20% of graduate students. Each spring, LMU College of Business Administration inducts a new class of members into Beta Gamma Sigma. 

Beta Gamma Sigma members reside in over 190 countries and represent employees at more than 460,000 companies worldwide. Membership provides an array of exclusive educational and professional benefits to support members on campus and throughout their professional lives. Learn more.

Mission and Objectives

The mission of Beta Gamma Sigma is to encourage and honor academic achievement in the study of business and personal and professional excellence in the practice of business.

The society's mission is supported by four objectives:

  • Encourage and honor academic achievement by students of business and management through chapters in business programs accredited by AACSB International
  • Develop Beta Gamma Sigma members as student and professional leaders, and celebrate continuing leadership and excellence
  • Foster in Beta Gamma Sigma members an enduring commitment to the founding principles and values of the Society: honor and integrity, pursuit of wisdom, earnestness, and service
  • Connect Beta Gamma Sigma student and alumni members to each other and to opportunities in their professional lives
