Skylar is a double-alumnus of LMU (Finance BBA and MBA) with deep connections to the university and the local community. A third-generation Westchester resident and fourth-generation Angeleno, his earliest memory of LMU is attending computer classes in the basement of the chapel with his kindergarten class. Skylar began his career at LMU in the Registrar’s Office in 2013 and transitioned to the CBA Advising Center in 2015. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, food, and wine.

Jackie oversees the co-curricular elements of the student experience within CBA. She is the lead for CBA Advantage, works closely with student organization leaders, and focuses on CBA’s student engagement within the college and across campus. Jackie works alongside the assistant dean of undergraduate programs to manage the CBA undergraduate student experience. Her goal is centered on ensuring that students have access to all the resources and opportunities to be successful in their educational journeys. Jackie earned an undergraduate degree in international business from the University of Denver and both an M.A. in urban education and MBA from LMU. Off the bluff, you can find Jackie swimming in the pool or ocean as well as exploring LA’s food scene with her husband and two dogs, Jiko & Honu.
Amalia Calvillo

In her role as an academic advisor, Amalia advises undergraduate students and works closely with CBA Advantage and other student engagement initiatives. Amalia most recently served as administrative coordinator for the Undergraduate Programs and Student Engagement Office, where she provided support and direction to students and oversaw office operations. Born and raised in Southern California, she earned her bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Redlands. During her free time, you can catch Amalia reading, exploring the city, or tending to her ever-growing forest of plants.
Andy Escobar

Andy first joined LMU as an administrative coordinator for the M-School and then moved to his current role as an academic advisor for CBA undergraduate students. Andy was born and raised in Los Angeles and earned his bachelor’s degree in sociology from Cal State Northridge. During his free time, he enjoys watching baseball, traveling, and spending time with family.

Leticia earned her bachelor's degree from California State University, Dominguez Hills and her master's degree in Higher Education Leadership from Pepperdine University. As a first-generation college graduate, she is dedicated to helping students feel supported and empowered throughout their academic journey. With a background in admissions and student services, she is passionate about guiding students as they pursue their academic and professional goals. Outside of work, you can catch Leticia at the beach, spending time with friends, in a fitness class, or hanging out with her cat Lily.
Larissa Flores

Larissa earned her bachelor’s degree from Marymount California University and later completed her master's degree in counseling at Mount Saint Mary's University. She is passionate about supporting and guiding students throughout their academic journey and is dedicated to creating meaningful connections through compassion, communication, and mentorship. Outside of her professional career, Larissa enjoys spending quality time with her family, visiting Disneyland Resort, and traveling.

Michael Villarama was born and raised in Los Angeles. He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in communication studies at Cal State LA. As a first-generation college graduate, he is familiar with the different types of support that students need and is dedicated to helping students throughout their academic journey here at LMU. Whenever he's not in the office, you might catch him enjoying the breeze at the beach, enjoying a Dodger game, trying new spots to eat around LA with his wife, or spending time with his dog Musubi.
Vanessa Jimenez

Vanessa is the student engagement advisor for the Undergraduate Programs and Student Engagement Office in the College of Business Administration at LMU. She supports students in their CBA Advantage journey and connects them with engagement opportunities. Vanessa earned her bachelor’s degree in child development from Cal State Northridge, where she worked as a program coordinator for the Music Department. She loves working in a university environment and being part of a community that empowers students in reaching their goals! Outside of work, Vanessa enjoys running and completing 5Ks with her three younger brothers.
