Prophet Walker '14, co-founder and CEO of Treehouse, grew up in South LA surrounded by poverty, violence and homelessness. At 16, Prophet was incarcerated and sentenced to six years in prison. While in prison, he started a state-wide program that allows inmates to earn a two-year college degree. Prophet then attended LMU and earned a degree in civil engineering. Prophet’s experiences surrounding community strength and human connectedness inspired him to create Treehouse, recognizing the power of community in proximity and shared humanity.
