The Paul A. Grosch Lecture Series welcomed Maria Salinas ’87, president & CEO of the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce. Ms. Salinas shared her perspective on the importance of corporate governance, her philosophy on and experience with corporate social responsibility and diversity in the boardroom, and what she envisions as emerging trends.

Nature and Prevalence of Organizational Fraud and Misconduct

Threats of corporate fraud, corruption and misconduct are never-ending and appear to be ever-increasing. In this Paul A. Grosch Lecture Series presentation, Dr. Tim Hedley, senior advisor with K2 Integrity, introduced the inherent characteristics of organizational integrity breakdowns, including its pervasiveness, diversity and costs; shared what organizations are doing to mitigate these risks; and highlighted the importance of maintaining a doubting mindset.
