Richard Jun is the co-founder and managing director of BAM Ventures, a top-performing early-stage consumer fund based in Los Angeles that he started with Brian S. Lee, a serial angel investor and the co-founder of Legalzoom, Shoedazzle, and The Honest Company. Prior to BAM, Richard served on Shoedazzle’s senior management team and helped orchestrate the merger of the company with its largest competitor at the end of 2013.
At BAM Ventures, Richard has used his full-stack company building experience to invest in and help accelerate the growth of some of the most recognizable consumer brands that exist today. He has personally led investments in over 80 companies to date.
Before Shoedazzle, Richard was a corporate attorney at O'Melveny & Myers in Los Angeles. He has extensive experience in all facets of transactional law having served as outside counsel to a variety of companies across a multitude of industries and stages of growth.
Richard received an A.B. with honors from Harvard University, and a J.D. from the Columbia University School of Law.
He was chosen by the Los Angeles Business Journal as one of the "Top 500 Most Influential People in Los Angeles" for 2020 and serves as the regional co-lead judge for the prestigious EY Entrepreneur of the Year award.
