Startup Executive Consultant and Educator
Laura Draxler, MBA, MSE, BSME, executive consultant and entrepreneur, educator, and judge for STEM competitions, has led technology teams in cleantech, software and biotech for the past 10+ years. Laura has managed teams across multiple functional areas, focused in renewable energy and energy efficiency for 5+ years. She has taught high school computer science and STEM classes for 3+ years. Laura is currently a sales associate in the retail industry. She is also on the C-suite screening panel for Astia Angels, which invests in women-led ventures.
In past clean energy roles, Laura led nonprofit startup business accelerator Cleantech Open for 7+ years, most recently as vice president of operations. As CEO of ZERE Energy and Biofuels, Laura accelerated ZERE’s biomass waste-to-renewable energy business, advanced biofuels technology with NREL, and was awarded grant funding. At Lawrence Berkeley Labs, she led partner development of low energy devices. She continues to provide executive leadership to several energy startups.
