The Institute for Business Ethics and Sustainability is Hiring!
IBES is looking to hire enthusiastic, reliable students to assist with running of 2026 the International Business Ethics and Sustainability Case Competition. This year, 64 teams from 41 schools and 6 countries will participate online via Zoom Events and in-person on the LMU Westchester campus during the week of April 13-17.
We are seeking zoom navigators (no previous experience necessary) for April 13-14, and event assistants and photographers/videographers on April 15-17. Event assistants will help with greeting and checking-in teams and judges, behind-the-scenes set-up and organization, tallying of scores and making of certificates, and other tasks as needed when they come up.
Photographers are needed to take team photos, dynamic presentation photos, as well as candid shots of teams interacting with each other and the judges. Videographers will take footage of the Welcome and Awards dinner as well as team presentations during the competition.
Qualified candidates will be expected to interact the teams and judges, as well as work a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for team workers who can work independently but have the initiative and good judgment to ask questions when needed.
As representatives of LMU, applicants should be professional and courteous, as well as comfortable answering questions and talking to a variety of different people. Attire is business casual. Students need not work all days nor the entire hours of the event (7:30am – 9pm), but should be able to commit to 3 hours shifts.
Applicants are expected to familiarize themselves with the event by reviewing our website (cba.lmu.edu/ibescc) and are required to attend an orientation and training before the competition begins.
Work studen is preferred but not required. However, all applicants must have a social security number. Interested applicants should email a cover letter explaining the skills you bring and your interest in working this event to chiray.koo@lmu.edu. Photographers and videographers should include a link to their portfolio.
