Brad Sparks, Executive Director
Accounting for Sustainability (Prince of Wales’s Charitable Foundation)
Brad Sparks is Executive Director of Accounting for Sustainability (A4S), part of The Prince of Wales’s Charitable Foundation. He leads the US Chapter of the A4S CFO Leadership Network, supporting Fortune 500 CFOs and their finance teams in embedding sustainability into strategy and business decision-making. Brad previously served as an Executive Director with KPMG, supporting organizations in developing sustainability strategies, responding to sustainability-related risks, assessing sustainability performance, and external reporting.
He also led KPMG’s global environmental sustainability strategy and worked with KPMG global leadership to advance KPMG Corporate Citizenship initiatives. Other prior experiences include Internal Audit at Gateway computers, labor standards monitoring at the Kenan Institute Asia, and KPMG Audit.
Brad is a Certified Public Accountant (retired). He has an MBA in Sustainable Enterprise from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, as well as a Master of Science and BSBA in Accounting from Appalachian State University. Brad serves on the Board of GRID Alternatives, a non-profit that advances economic and environmental justice through renewable energy. He teaches Sustainability Reporting at UCLA Anderson and is also an Executive-in-Residence at Cornell University’s Center for Global Sustainable Enterprise. He lives in Los Angeles.
