Danielle Hjerpe is a senior Biochemistry major with a minor in Dance originally from La Quinta, California. She hopes to become a physician specializing in preventive medicine or pediatrics. As she pursues a career in the medical field, Danielle is interested in exploring the intersection of public health, sustainability, and social justice, and looks forward to serving as an SDG ambassador to learn more about how these issues inform one another and actions she can take to further these goals both on campus and in her career. Danielle’s other activities on campus include research related to chemistry education and social justice, as well as involvement in So Plant Based (plant-based eating club), Creare Service Organization, Alpha Epsilon Delta, and Chemistry Society.
