Anyes Moran is a second-year psychology major with plans to pursue a double major in political science. Driven by her passion for policy reform and social justice, particularly for children, she has gained extensive experience working with students. She served as a camp counselor for four years, tutored advanced English students in Manila via Zoom, and recently assisted in teaching a high school summer Geometry class. On campus, Anyes is in her second year as a teaching assistant for the first-year seminar course, “Your Future Career in the Global Marketplace.” Her dedication to promoting accessible quality education in developing countries was deepened through her immersive learning experience with the SDGs in Belize as part of LMU’s Alternative Breaks program. As an SDG Student Ambassador, Anyes is committed to reducing inequalities and empowering her peers to take action in the advancement of the UN's Sustainable Development Goals through events and collaborative projects, with a particular focus on education and social justice.
