Alex Morales is a sophomore mechanical engineering major with a mathematics minor. Passionate in energy sustainability as well as its economic impacts, he is interested in the challenges behind making cleaner energy, while balancing reliability, affordability, and innovation.
Within the LMU community, Alex is involved in the Robotics & Optimization Club, Lions Motorsport team, and the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers E-Board. He is also working on a medical device to contribute to stroke rehabilitation research. Alex’s experience in hands-on engineering challenges and research will serve helpful to addressing several SDGs in local communities.
From understanding economic inequalities to finding innovative solutions, Alex is looking forward to contributing to global solutions in tangible and local ways as an SDG Ambassador.
