Isabella Zadoyan '26, MSE Environmental Engineering

Isabella Zadoyan is a graduate student at Loyola Marymount University completing a Master of Engineering in Environmental Engineering and is a recipient of the Seaver College Outstanding Continuing Graduate Student Award. After receiving her Physics degree from California Polytechnic State University of San Luis Obispo where she led research in physical oceanography and galaxy formation, she decided to pursue engineering to further her education and focus on developing solutions to real world environmental issues. 

Isabella is completing her thesis “Hydrodynamic Modeling Los Angeles River Off-Channel Wetland Restoration and Flood Risk Management” in alignment with the LA Revitalization Master Plan to improve public health and mitigate climate risk. In addition to working at the Institute for Business Ethics and Sustainability at LMU, Isabella is a dancer, runner, plant mom, and volunteer for Best Friends Animal Society, a Los Angeles No-Kill Animal Shelter.
