Doug Walters, Chief Sustainability and Chief Resiliency Officer of LA Sanitation and Environment

As LA Sanitation & Environment’s Chief Sustainability Officer and Chief Resiliency Officer, Walters works to achieve the ambitious goals to combat climate change as it impacts our water and waste management infrastructure, policies, and the residents we serve. Through integrated planning and inclusion diverse stakeholders, Walters seeks innovative ways to preserve, protect and enhance our services to protect the quality of life in Los Angeles and beyond. Walter feels "The challenges are constant given the risks we all face as the current crisis shows how interconnected we are. Therefore we must act steadfastly to seek consensus, lead by example, and move forward toward a cleaner, more just society."

Walters will also be part of the planning team for the Olympic & Paralympic Games LA will be hosting in 2028. As a firm advocate in reaching everyone’s full potential and enjoy mentoring and recruiting future leaders and contributors in our efforts to continue to meet and exceed expectations placed upon us.
