"Business for Good" is a required course for all first-year and transfer undergraduate business students. Enacting a bottom-up approach to understanding problems in low-income marketplaces, student teams are tasked with identifying a problem related to a sustainable development goal (SDG), conducting market research including global virtual interviews, designing a good or service, and developing a business plan. At the end of the course, students deliver their final presentations on a poster, demonstrating how their start-ups would be economically, environmentally and socially sustainable. In a rapid-style format, judges visit student teams for a 3-minute presentation, ask a few questions and complete an evaluation form. All are invited to join!
