The United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were set forth in 2015 when the United Nations adopted The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, a global blueprint for peace and prosperity. The 17 SDGs are an urgent call for action by all countries in a global partnership. They recognize that ending poverty and other deprivations must go hand-in-hand with strategies and collaborations which improve health and education, reduce inequality, and spur economic growth – all while tackling climate change and working to preserve life on land and life underwater.
