Save It Forward is an LMU student-led initiative committed to empowering young people with essential financial literacy skills. Designed for middle school, high school, and college students, our program covers foundational topics such as budgeting, saving, and responsible financial management. Through dynamic workshops and one-on-one mentorship, Save It Forward provides students with the knowledge they need to make informed financial decisions and understand the impact of those choices in the real world.
The program’s name, Save It Forward, reflects our goal of creating a ripple effect: by equipping students with practical financial skills, we empower them to share what they’ve learned with family, friends, and others in their communities. This peer-driven approach helps spread financial literacy beyond the classroom, amplifying the impact of each lesson.
Unique to Save It Forward is its relatable, student-led format. Each session is conducted by undergraduate students from LMU who connect with participants on a personal level. By learning from peers, students gain confidence, ask questions freely, and engage actively in building lifelong financial skills.
