center programs

The Fred Kiesner Center for Entrepreneurship offers a wide array of co-curricular programs to supplement the curriculum and enhance the student learning experience. Our main activities are listed below.

Hilton Distinguished Entrepreneur Lecture Series

Brings outstanding entrepreneurs from all fields to campus to share their inspiring life and work experiences with students, alumni, faculty and staff.

Dinner with a Winner

Established in 2008, Dinner with a Winner affords Diamond in the Rough awardees and a few, select, highly-motivated entrepreneurship students the opportunity to interact with successful entrepreneurs over dinner.

New Idea Pitch Competition

Open to all LMU students, participants pitch their new business ideas in front of a panel of judges and a large and rowdy audience (think American Idol!) and compete for cash prizes. Sponsored by the Donald and Joyce Nores Entrepreneurial Endowment, through the generosity of Joyce and Don '52 Nores.

LMU Startup Weekend

Each fall, LMU's Entrepreneurship Program hosts a Startup Weekend to provide an exciting opportunity for students to sharpen their skills in formulating and launching a business concept. The event also allows our students to collaborate with professionals and experts in the business community. Watch the video.

Company Tours

Entrepreneurship students get access to the most innovative and remarkable companies in the Los Angeles area. Past company visits include Google, YouTube, SpaceX, Idealab, Mad Dog Athletics and Houdini Enterprises, among others.

LMU Entrepreneurship Society

The LMU Entrepreneurship Society provides students with an environment where they are able to learn and engage in the world of entrepreneurship with fellow students, the academic community and business community. Members meet on a weekly basis to hear speakers, learn from each other, share internship and job leads, and just to have fun. Come join us, all majors are welcome!
