"No Other Choice" 

The Center for Asian Business D.K. Kim Lecture Series & Movie Screenings and the Korean American Student Association (KASA) presented a screening of “No Other Choice” (2025). "No Other Choice" (2025) is a dark thriller following Man-su, a dedicated paper factory manager who resorts to desperate measures after being laid off and unable to find other work. This film explores themes of corporate cruelty, capitalist desperation, and middle-class decay.

"Didi" 

The Center for Asian Business D.K. Kim Lecture Series & Movie Screenings, Asian American Symposium, Asian & Asian American Studies, and Asian Pacific Islander Desi Student Services (APIDSS) presented a screening of “Didi” (2024). "Didi” is a coming-of-age story set in 2008, during the last month of summer before high school begins. The film follows an impressionable 13-year-old Taiwanese American boy as he learns what his family can’t teach him: how to skate, how to flirt, and how to love your mom.

"Lion" 

The Center for Asian Business D.K. Kim Lecture Series & Movie Screenings and the South Asian Student Association (SASA) presented a screening of “Lion” (2016). “Lion” is a biographical drama film about a young Indian boy, Saroo, who gets separated from his family and ends up over 1,000 miles away in Kolkata. He is eventually adopted by an Australian couple, but as an adult, he becomes haunted by memories and uses Google Earth to try and find his birth family, leading him on a determined search.

"The Debut" 

The Center for Asian Business D.K. Kim Lecture Series & Movie Screenings and Insang Bansa presented a screening of “The Debut” (2000). A young man struggles with his desire to study art when his family thinks he’s headed to medical school. Conflicts between Filipino traditions and expectations vs. personal dreams in the contemporary world erupt at his sister’s debut.
