The Center for Asian Business D.K. Kim Foundation Lecture Series and Center for International Business Education presented a fireside chat with Eunbin Chung, assistant professor of political science at the University of Utah. Previous research has mainly focused on cultural convergence or overarching commonalities such as “Asian-ness” as a means to overcome distrust in East Asia. Professor Chung's research provides new insight into how trust can be built among Korea, Japan and China when each nation affirms its own distinctive national identity. Moderated by Jennifer Ramos, LMU professor and interim chair of political science and international relations.

Chang Kim, founder and former CEO of Tapas Media, and moderated by David Choi.

The Center for Asian Business D.K. Kim Foundation Lecture Series, Center for International Business Education and Fred Kiesner Center for Entrepreneurship presented a fireside chat with Chang Kim, founder and former CEO of Tapas Media, a digital storytelling platform for content lovers that was acquired in 2021 by Korea's Kakao Entertainment at a $510M valuation. Chang previously worked as a product manager at Google, running Blogger.com, after the company he co-founded, TNC, was acquired by Google. He also worked at Samsung Mobile where he was in charge of mobile content strategies. Chang is an active angel investor in the media, content, platform, and Web3 space, with 30+ current investments. Moderated by David Choi, Conrad N. Hilton Chair of Entrepreneurship.
