"Everything Everywhere All at Once"
The Center for Asian Business in collaboration with Han Tao (student org) and the Asian American Pacific Islander Faculty Staff Association (AAPIFSA) present this special movie screening followed by an Asian and Asian American cultural discussion led by Han Tao student leaders. When an interdimensional rupture threatens to unravel reality, the fate of the world is suddenly in the hands of a most unlikely hero: Evelyn (Michelle Yeoh), an overwhelmed immigrant mother. As bizarre and bewildering dangers emerge from the many possible universes, she must learn to channel her newfound powers and fight to save her home, her family, and herself.

"Monsoon”
The Center for Asian Business in collaboration with the Asian American Pacific Islander Faculty Staff Association (AAPIFSA), Asian Pacific Student Services (APSS) and the Vietnamese Student Association (VSA) present a screening of "Monsoon" (2019) followed by an Asian and Asian American cultural discussion led by VSA student leaders. Refreshments will be provided in the Hilton Lobby at 7 p.m. Kit, a British man of Vietnamese heritage, returns to Saigon for the first time in over 30 years after leaving the country with his parents when he was six years old at the end of the Vietnam War.

“Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind”
"Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind" (風の谷のナウシカ, Original title: Kaze no Tani no Naushika) is a 1984 Japanese post-apocalyptic anime film written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki, based on his 1982 manga. The story takes place far in the future, after an apocalyptic conflict has devastated much of the world's ecosystem and the few surviving humans live in scattered semi-hospitable environments within an ever-expanding "toxic jungle." Nausicaä, a young princess who lives in the Valley of the Wind, has the unique ability to communicate with the massive insects that populate the dangerous jungle. As she becomes embroiled in a struggle with Tolmekia, a militaristic empire that tries to use an ancient weapon to eradicate the toxic jungle, Nausicaä hopes to find a path forward for the co-existence of nature and humans.

“The Host”
The Center for Asian Business, Asian American Pacific Islander Faculty Staff Association (AAPIFSA), Asian Pacific Student Services (APSS), and Korean American Student Association (KASA) present a screening of “The Host" (or Gwoemul as it's known in South Korea). This frightful and funny film is about a dysfunctional Korean family trying to save their daughter from the clutches of a mutant monster.
