Diamond in the Rough

Through a wonderful grant from the Coleman Foundation (Fannie May Candies), this award helps identify, encourage, support, mentor, hone, polish and develop young entrepreneurs in their early years so that they fulfill their potential and destiny, and become the outstanding young undergraduate collegiate entrepreneurs.

Drollinger Family Entrepreneurial Award

Presented by the Howard Drollinger Family Foundation, by Karen Dial and Jim Drollinger. This scholarship is presented to students that faculty in the Entrepreneurship Program feel are outstanding in achievement and future promise as entrepreneurs.

Entrepreneurial Dream Box

As a motivation to our best students, we present them with our coveted Entrepreneur's Dream Box. This honors their past achievements, and motivates them to fill the box with mementos of future achievements. We also present this box to outstanding entrepreneurs, educators and leaders who are supporters of entrepreneurship education worldwide.

Entrepreneurial Student of the Year

John Keenan Entrepreneurial Scholars

The late John Keenan, CLU, was the founder and chairman of Keenan & Associates, one of the largest insurance brokerage firms in America and the largest in California, with $130,000,000 in revenues. He had over 700 employees in 10 offices, specializing in insurance services for schools, municipalities and hospitals. The firm is an ESOP, with 45% of the ownership held by his employees. He entered the insurance industry after serving in the Korean War. He was a leader in encouraging and enabling minorities to enter the insurance industry. Mr. Keenan graduated from LMU in 1952.

Ricci Family Entrepreneurial Scholars

Michael and Sheila Ricci have an endowed scholarship fund for highly-qualified, needy undergraduate or graduate students with an entrepreneurial emphasis. The scholarships are set up to help as many students as possible with the potential of covering up to full tuition.

Student Entrepreneurial Heroes

LMU entrepreneurship students are required to create a business plan for a new venture. The best of these plans are entered into national competitions. Our students have been very successful in these competitions, often getting into the national finals on a competitive basis, and earning a number of top level national awards.
