Directed by Jia Zhangke, 24 City is a Chinese Drama released in 2008 that tells in part fiction, part documentary fashion the decades-spanning story of three factory women portrayed by Joan Chen (Lust, Caution), Lu Liping (Love Will Tear Us Apart), and Jia Zhangke’s usual leading lady Zhao Tao (Still Life). Set in the southwestern city of Chengdu, the film captures the sweeping changes of the past few decades through the fortunes and fallouts of three women of different times and places, and the factory that ties their lives together.

Confucius (2010)

This Chinese film, released in January 2010, demonstrates how Confucius withstands both temptations and hardships, and is more than once forced to flee when another local war breaks out. Eventually, many years later, he is invited back to Lu, once again threatened by a political coup. But he agrees to return only as a teacher, refusing to involve himself in politics, and spends his declining years studying and collating the classics. History records that he died a disappointed man, but his work outlived the "Spring and Autumn Period" in which he lived and echoed through the dynasties to become the very bedrock of Chinese civilization. Times are tough for these two performance artists Kristina Wong and
D'Lo... so tough that they actually need to go get jobs... like...
real jobs.... Watch as they find real inspiration from Santa Monica's
Christie Bickerstaff and Liz Pritchard (The Lemonade Girls) who got
television press when they used their lemonade stand to network for
their dream jobs. Kristina and D'Lo thought: Let's turn our lemons
into lemonade too! But of course, copy catting their innocent idea
doesn't quite pan out as panned.

OLD MAN RAPS (USA, 2010)

This music video collaboration between director Patricio Ginelsa and

Filmmaker Will Tiao screening Formosa Betrayed
Inspired by actual events. In the early 1980s, FBI Agent Jake Kelly (James Van Der Beek) investigates the murder of an Asian professor at a small college. Agent Kelly follows the fleeing killers to Taiwan, where he finds himself on a collision course with the FBI, the State Department, the Chinese Mafia, and the Government of the Republic of China -- in a land where the truth is not what it seems and the only people he can trust, cannot be trusted at all.

Will Tiao is a Taiwanese-American actor and producer. Born and raised in Manhattan, Kansas, he worked in the field of international politics before entering the Hollywood scene. Tiao worked as a Presidential Management Fellow under the Clinton administration and went on to become an international economist under the George W. Bush administration. However, in 2002 he decided to leave politics to pursue a career in entertainment.

Tiao has worked as an actor, producer, and writer for TV, film, and stage. His TV credits include MADtv (FOX), Yes, Dear (CBS), Untold Stories from the ER (TLC), Mind of Mencia (Comedy Central), The Winner (FOX) and the internet series Quarterlife.
