International students applying to LMU Graduate Business Programs must meet the following requirements in addition to the program-specific admission requirements.
Applicants whose native language is not English and have not completed a high school diploma or postsecondary degree at a university in the United States or other country where English is the primary language must submit a TOEFL, IELTS or Duolingo score. Exceptions to this rule may be made for students from countries where English is one of several official languages, as well as at the discretion of the program director.
You must score:
- 100 or above on the TOEFL (iBT only).
- 7.0 or above on the IELTS.
- 130 or above on the Duolingo English Test.
Applicants who are required to submit test scores should use school code 4403.
Applicants who have completed their postsecondary education from an institution outside the U.S. must hold a degree from a university recognized by the Ministry of Education as a degree granting institution. Transcripts from an international institution must be translated and evaluated by a U.S. transcript evaluation service (e.g. Educational Credential Evaluators, International Education Research Foundation or World Education Services). The purpose of the evaluation is to verify that your postsecondary degree is the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor's degree.
International students enrolled in STEM-designated programs may be eligible for additional Optional Practical Training. Our M.S. in Accounting, M.S. in Business Analytics and M.S. in Taxation are STEM-designated. Our other Graduate Business Programs are not. Visit the Office for International Students and Scholars for further assistance.
