Poor mental health and related illnesses has blindsided industrialized societies and is now in the on the forefront of the World Health Organization (WHO) and Economic Forum’s world epidemic challenge. In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, data on mental health issues are likely underestimations of this social health crisis. Join Dr. Myla Bui as she uses data-driven scientific research from the areas of neuroscience, psychology, and sociology to examine, explore and exploit potential everyday strategies for combating mental health.

Bio

Myla Bui earned her Ph.D. from the University of Arkansas and her MBA from Loyola University New Orleans and currently an associate professor of marketing at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. She has professional experience in promotional marketing through Nola.com and business development/market research through Intralox LLC, USA. Myla has published research articles at the premier business journals including Journal of Marketing, Psychology & Marketing, Journal of Public Policy & Marketing, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Advertising Research, European Journal of Marketing, Journal of Consumer Policy, and Journal of Consumer Affairs, among others. Her research interests include health public policy, consumer judgement and decision-making, and emerging technology.
