The LMU Master in Entertainment Leadership and Management curriculum provides students with the foundations necessary for working in the business of entertainment. Your capstone project is an opportunity to leverage our university's connections with the entertainment industry for mentorship as you gain hands-on experience.
Our program can be completed in 12 months on a full-time basis or 24 months on a part-time basis for a total of 30 units.
Learning Outcomes
Graduates of the LMU Master in Entertainment Leadership and Management will:
- Demonstrate proficiency in the functional areas of business, such as finance and accounting, marketing, and organizational behavior, as well as the capacity to synthesize and apply this functional knowledge.
- Analyze and organize proficient solutions for complex management problems in the entertainment industry and demonstrate logical reasoning and idea generation for making effective management decisions.
- Explain the societal benefits of entertainment toward justice across environmental, economic, and social factors (e.g., gender, race/ethnicity, sexuality, nationality, income class, etc.).
- Demonstrate proficiency with group dynamics, collaboration, interpersonal relations and leading individuals, teams, projects, and organizations.

Capstone Project
All students participate in a summer capstone project in a small team or individually, choosing to focus on either a new piece of content, a new venture or consulting.
- ENLM 6000 - Entertainment Leadership and Management Capstone
Capstone Option 1: Entrepreneurial Producer
Students will gain experience conceptualizing, planning, pitching, developing, launching and marketing an individual piece of content or entertainment venture.
Capstone Option 2: Entertainment Industries Strategies
Students will work with an entertainment organization as consultants to solve a key business problem.
