Bob Pettit Joins CBA as Associate Dean of Graduate Programs

LMU’s College of Business Administration has appointed Bob Pettit as associate dean and director of graduate programs. In this role, Bob will have primary responsibility for the newly redesigned MBA program.

Bob is an accomplished executive with over 25 years of experience in higher education and business. His broad range of knowledge and skills include degree program management, marketing, business development, recruiting, admissions, alumni relations, fundraising and external affairs. Bob has an undergraduate degree in international relations from Stanford University and an MBA from UCLA Anderson with an emphasis in brand management.

“As a Los Angeles native, I have very high regard for LMU and am thrilled to join the LMU family,” Bob exclaimed. “I am excited about the unique strengths of our MBA program and the College of Business Administration.”

Bob comes to the CBA after 10 years at the UCLA Anderson School of Management, where he excelled at launching a new dual-degree program, implementing marketing initiatives, recruiting candidates and cultivating key alumni. Most recently, Bob served for five years as executive director of the Global Executive MBA for the Americas program, which was the dean’s strategic initiative. Before this, he was executive director of UCLA Anderson’s Office of Alumni Relations reporting to the senior associate dean of external affairs.

In addition, Bob has held various senior-level positions with companies such as Symantec, Activision and Mattel. He is proficient in dealing with the complexities of universities, multinational corporations and startups. Bob also has significant international experience and is fluent in Spanish.
