As assistant director of the Center for Asian Business and program management director of the Center for International Business Education (CIBE), Marki Jones provides strategic leadership and oversees comprehensive administration of diverse international business education programs. To date, she has administered 100+ international and interdisciplinary curricular and co-curricular programs. Jones has also been instrumental in securing multiple grants and gifts totaling more than $2 million for international programs and student scholarships.
Jones serves as a liaison for partnerships with organizations and universities around the world; and has served as an executive board member for non-profit organizations, providing leadership and service to underrepresented communities. She is intrinsically driven to foster cross-cultural understanding, with a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and a focus on raising implicit bias awareness.
Jones is also an adjunct professor in the LMU School of Education where she has taught graduate courses in "Transformative Pedagogy" and "Critical Issues in Education" as well as an undergraduate course titled "Sociocultural Analysis of Education." She holds an Ed.D. in Higher Education Leadership with an emphasis in international education from California Lutheran University, an M.A. in Educational Counseling and a B.A. in Psychology from Loyola Marymount University.
