“4 + 1” Program Option for LMU Juniors
The Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) program offers an exciting option for LMU students with strong quantitative backgrounds who are interested in earning a graduate degree in business analytics. Students majoring in engineering, science, business, math or economics who have successfully completed a statistics course are particularly well-suited for the MSBA program. Add a +1 (one year of graduate school) to your 4-year undergraduate degree.
The “4 + 1” option gives you the opportunity to start taking courses for your graduate degree during your senior year at LMU. Students admitted into this program will be able to enroll in one graduate course during the fall semester and one graduate course during the spring semester of their senior year. These courses will count both toward your MSBA degree and your undergraduate degree. Because your undergraduate tuition will cover the cost of these two graduate-level courses, you can save more than $8,000 in graduate tuition costs by applying to the MSBA program after your junior year!
Requirements for admission into the MSBA 4 + 1 program:
- Current LMU student majoring in engineering, science, business, math, or economics who has completed at least 90 credits.
- Completed a statistics course with a grade of B or better (can be taken during senior year.)
- Competitive GMAT or GRE score preferred. Students with a high GPA and significant quantitative coursework may request a waiver of this requirement; waivers are not guaranteed. Email Dustin Cornwell, Sr. Director of MBA/MS Programs, if you believe you may qualify for a waiver.
- We recommend submitting your online application no later than June 30 following the completion of your junior year. Select “Bus. Analytics 4+1 (MS)” as your Program of Interest.
