“4 + 1” Program Option for LMU Juniors
The Master of Science in Accounting (MSA) program offers an exciting option for LMU students who are interested in earning a graduate degree in accounting. Add a +1 (one year of graduate school) to your 4-year undergraduate degree.
The “4 + 1” option gives you the opportunity to start taking courses for your graduate degree in accounting during your senior year at LMU. Students admitted into this program will be able to enroll in one graduate course during the fall semester and one graduate course during the spring semester of their senior year. These courses will count both toward your MSA degree and your undergraduate degree. Because your undergraduate tuition will cover the cost of these two graduate-level courses, you can save more than $6,000 in graduate tuition costs by applying to the MSA program after your junior year!
Requirements for admission into the MSA 4 + 1 program:
- Current LMU student majoring/minoring in accounting or finance who has completed at least 90 credits.
- Minimum GPA of 3.2 to waive the GMAT/GRE requirement (students with a GPA below 3.2 may apply if they submit GMAT or GRE results.)
- We recommend submitting your online application no later than June 30 following the completion of your junior year. Select “Accounting 4+1 (MS)” as your Program of Interest.
