The College of Business Administration offers a variety of scholarships for business majors. Please read the information carefully and address any questions to the correct contact person.
Accounting Scholarships
Sophomores
The Accounting Department would like to award several scholarships to sophomores who are either Accounting Majors or Accounting Minors, but priority will be given to Accounting Majors in the selection process. The scholarship amounts will be in the range of $750 - $1,000 per scholarship, depending on availability of departmental funding.
The criteria used in the selection process are as follows:
- B+ or higher grade in ACCT 211
- Currently earning a B or higher in ACCT 212
- Accounting major or minor with priority to an accounting major
- Cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher
Participation in extracurricular activities
Moss Adams, LLP Scholarships:
Moss Adams , a regional public accounting firm, would like to award two (2) $5,000 scholarships to sophomores majoring in accounting for the academic year 2009 – 2010, which may be renewable. The criteria used in the selection process are as follows:
- B+ or higher grade in ACCT 211
- Currently making good progress in ACCT 212
- Cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher
- Plan to work in the public accounting profession
- Demonstrates leadership skills based on participation in extracurricular activities
The same application is used for both scholarships. Students must return their completed application in person to Professor Falcon so he can review and discuss your application. (Do not slip the application under Prof. Falcon’s office door.)

Juniors Junior applicants must be accounting majors, have an overall GPA of 3.3 or higher, a B- or higher in ACCT 311, and be involved in either extracurricular activities or work outside of school.

Entrepreneurship Scholarships
Keenan Family Minority Entrepreneurial Scholarship Given to a qualified minority undergraduate student who has demonstrated financial need as well as displayed both a strong work ethic and high academic achievement. Scholarship issued by faculty nomination only.

Ricci Family Scholarship Reserved for highly-qualified, needy students with an entrepreneurial emphasis. Student applicants can be in the undergraduate or graduate programs. The scholarships are set up to help as many students as possible with the potential of covering up to full tuition. Scholarships issued by faculty nomination only.

John T. Wholihan Scholarship
This needs-based scholarship, established by its namesake, is given to a qualified junior and an MBA student who have demonstrated financial need as well as displayed merit and diligent work in both academic achievement and community service.

Study Abroad in Korea Scholarships
All sophomores and juniors with a GPA of 3.0 or higher and who have not previously visited Korea are invited to apply. Students must write an essay (400 words or less) explaining why they want to participate in the program and what they hope to learn while in Korea. More information can be found in the brochure.
Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of the student’s qualifying applications, essay, GPA, and an interview by the Selection Committee. Students should submit their essay, resume, and unofficial transcripts to the Center for Asian Business in Hilton 200G.
