Last month, the Los Angeles chapter of the California Society of CPAs awarded 22 scholarships for the 2009-2010 academic year and LMU accounting majors received 10 of the scholarships.

Those LMU students receiving scholarships included Kimberly Carlson, Tyler Galbraith, Allison Felten, Steve Heinemann, Paul Rava, and Lauren Shimabukuro. Kevin Gomez, Craig Cerniglia, Jennifer Rindge, and Matthew Farghum all received multi-year scholarships.

The students were recognized at a dinner on May 28 at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center. The California Society of CPAs usually awards one multi-year scholarship per year. Since the program’s inception, LMU students have been the recipients of this scholarship.
