Alan Hogenauer, Ph.D., professor of travel and tourism, is featured in the new book by Jeopardy champ Ken Jennings called "Maphead: Charting the Wild, Weird World of Geography Wonks" (September 2011). Prof. Donald DePamphilis published two books in August 2010 and signed a contract for a third book to be published next year. All three books will be published by Elsevier/Academic Press. Targeted primarily at practitioners, the first book, entitled Merger and Acquisition Basics, provides a quick overview of the subject, while relying on the latest academic research to substantiate key conclusions. The second book entitled, Merger and Acquisition Negotiations and Deal Structuring, is intended to integrate the perspectives of all participants in the negotiation and deal structuring process from investment bankers to lawyers to accountants and business managers. Finally, the sixth edition of Professor DePamphilis' textbook, entitled Mergers, Acquisitions and Other Restructuring Activities, will be published in August 2011. This book is widely used in the U.S., Europe, and Asia, with earlier editions having been translated into Chinese and Russia.

Robert D. Winsor, Ph.D. co-authored "An Empirical Examination of the 'Rule of Three': Strategy Implications for Top Management, Marketers, and Investors," written along with Can Uslay, Z. The article is a study that represents the first empirical examination of the “Rule of Three,” a theory at odds with several popular notions regarding industry structure and business performance, including the positive linear market share– performance relationship.

Thomas White, Ph.D. has just published an article entitled “ Business, Science, and Ethics: A Case Study in the Necessary Evolution of Methodology ” online in Between the Species.
Palgrave Macmillan has offered Dr. White a contract to write a book entitled In Defense of Whales. This is part of a new series sponsored by the Oxford Centre for Animal Ethics. The book will primarily examine the ethical issues connected with the attempts of a few countries to bring back commercial whaling.
Prof. Anatoly Zhuplev published an article on entrepreneurship with co-author Dmitry Shtykho in the latest issues of the Journal of East-West Business. Zhuplev also wrote a chapter in the recently published book, Global Entrepreneurship .
