Biography Amy Alward, who joined the College of Business Administration faculty in 2007, is the fifth U.S. accounting professor of Native American descent to have earned a doctorate. She maintains an interest in social psychology, laboratory experiments and the observation of human behavior. Prior to earning her PhD, Alward worked as a music director for the Diocese of Boise and as a cost analyst and assistant analyst for Group Health Cooperative of Puget Sound. Alward, who is a CPA, has been the recipient of several fellowships and is a member of the American Accounting Association, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Institute of Management Accountants.
