Master of Science in Accounting Program
In the fall of 2013, LMU's College of Business Administration introduced a Master of Science in Accounting Program. Students may choose to enroll full time or part time. In October 2009, legislation passed in California that set new educational requirements for students who wish to become CPAs. This legislation requires 150 credit hours of education (LMU's B.S. in Accounting requires 126 credit hours), and includes minimum credit hours in business and accounting, as well as specific ethics requirements. The legislation, which became effective January 1, 2014, was passed for California to comply with the Uniform Accountancy Act, which makes California's requirement for CPA licensure equivalent to most other states.
Applications are accepted on a rolling admission basis.
