Accounting
Consistent with the mission of the College of Business Administration, the Accounting Department strives to prepare ethical leaders to enter the accounting profession. The Accounting Major curriculum is designed to prepare students for a career in public, corporate, governmental accounting. The highly qualified faculty challenge students intellectually while support them through academic and career advising.

Finance, Computer Information Systems +
Operations Management
The department consists of two separate disciplines. The Finance area focuses on concepts in financial planning, financial policy and investments in both U.S. and international markets. Additional advanced Finance areas look at real estate and mergers and acquisitions. The Computer Information Systems and Operations Management area involves the application of computer technology to meet the information needs of organizations at the operational, tactical and strategic levels. Both areas are applied and prepare students for careers in the private and public sectors.

Management
Management is planning, organizing, leading, and controlling the activities necessary to successfully run an organization. The Management Department is a group of scholars who both educate students and create knowledge in the management of organizations in a range of specific areas. In its academic programs, the department is focused on providing the practical skills and management theories necessary to be an ethical leader in a diverse global economy. Within the department, the Management and Organizations area focuses on the skills and concepts needed to be successful leaders, managers, and supervisors in organizations. The Entrepreneurship group addresses both entrepreneurship (i.e., founding and leading new ventures) and entrepreneurship (i.e., creating change within established, more traditional organizations). The International Management area specifically addresses the management of companies operating in international settings.

Marketing + Business Law
Marketing focuses on activities that facilitate exchange between individuals and organizations. It prepares students for careers in marketing research, sales and sales management, marketing management, retailing, and advertising-all of which can serve as good career paths leading to top-level positions in general management in all types of organizations and industries.
Business Law courses introduce students to the legal environment of business. A focus on Business Law will prepare students for the fundamental legal challenges that affect all aspects of business, including: Marketing, Management, Human Resources Management, Accounting, International Business, and Entrepreneurship. The courses offered within Business Law will take an in-depth look into the different realms of business activity and will serve as an excellent foundation to help students protect their future legal interests.
